VICTORIAN VIOLETS TEA/COFFEE SET
A vintage coffee set by Hammersley & Co. dating to the early 1930s with the Victorian Violets pattern. Also known as Coffee Can Cup, this set could be used for either tea or coffee.
The set comprises of 22 pieces:
6 x Side Plates ~ 12cm in diameter
8 x Saucers ~ 11cm in diameter
6 x Cups ~ 6cm in height
1 x Sugar Bowl - 5.5cm in height
1 x Cream/Milk Jug ~ 5.5cm in height
PLEASE NOTE THE MEASUREMENTS AS THE ITEMS ARE SMALL.
Some of the cups and two of the saucers differ in size slightly, however this is hard to tell at a glance.
All pieces are marked with the pattern design number 11202, and some have the Hammersley & Co. stamp.
Condition: In good vintage condition with some signs of age (surface marks) and some of the gild has worn from the edges.
