Victorian Blue and White Glass Epergne
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BLUE GLASS EPERGNE
A stunning early 20th century blue and white opaque glass three trumpet horned epergne with an EPNS base.
Epergnes were used as early as 1720s in England, they would be displayed at the centre of the dinner table or sideboard and were often decorated with sweets or flowers.
Please note: The three trumpets are not an exact match. The central trumpet is of a different design and sits slightly different to the outer trumpets. This however, does not distract from the overall integrity of the piece (please see images).
The full height of the epergne is 34cm.
The width is 28cm and each horn measures approximately 16cm.
Condition: In very good condition with some tarnish to the metal
Please study the photos as they show any signs of wear as would be expected with vintage or antique items.
